Rooms

Infants Room - Motutapu

Named after Motutapu Island in the Hauraki Gulf meaning "sacred" or "sanctuary" island. We aim for our Under 2 room to be that sanctuary for our youngest children and their whanau.

Preschool - Motukaraka

Also known as Flat Island, at mid to low tide this island is accessible by foot, begging for exploration.  Just like its namesake, our first preschool room is a place of discovery and adventures.

Preschool - Rangitoto

Auckland's most iconic maunga (mountain) with incredible views from the summit.  Our Rangitoto room is where children raise their eyes beyond the horizon, and take their place as leaders

 Our Philosophy

Our Philosophy at Chasing Joy Early Learning is fairly simple.

We strive to provide a beautiful environment that inspires children and teachers, where creativity and imagination knows no bounds.  Where we allow ourselves to be joyful, and live in the moment.

Our children are encouraged to think, to wonder and to embrace uncertainty.  It is in this space that new learning is constructed.  Seeing the children as leaders of their own learning is at the heart of what we do.

We want this place to feel like another home. And just like a home, we hope it is the people,  the relationships and the sense of whanaungatanga that will help form a partnership between our families and the centre.

Diversity is celebrated here at Chasing Joy Early Learning. We welcome all cultures, religions and beliefs.

Te Whariki, the New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum is our fundamental basis of practice.
