Motutapu

Infants Room

Named after Motutapu Island in the Hauraki Gulf meaning “sacred” or “sanctuary” island. We aim for our Under 2 room to be that sanctuary for our youngest children and their whanau.

Motukaraka

Explorers

Also known as Flat Island, at mid to low tide this island is accessible by foot, begging for exploration.  Just like its namesake, our first preschool room is a place of discovery and adventures.

Rangitoto

Preschool

Auckland’s most iconic maunga (mountain) with incredible views from the summit.  Our Rangitoto room is where children raise their eyes beyond the horizon, and take their place as leaders

Chasing Joy has been awesome for my very shy daughter. From starting aged two having never been in care the teachers were so patient and loving with her and put both of us at ease. She’s still incredibly shy but now thriving in the preschool room with lots of friends and her teachers continue to support her in all the amazing creative ways they can think of. Bonus points for Thursday yoga which she loves!

We are incredibly grateful to have found such a caring and supportive daycare centre for our children. We are now onto our third at the centre! The teachers are truly amazing — kind, patient, considerate, and genuinely invested in every child’s wellbeing and development. As parents of children with additional needs, finding the right environment was so important to us, and this centre has exceeded every expectation. The staff have gone above and beyond to support our children with settling in, building routines, and feeling safe and included each day. Their understanding, compassion, and willingness to adapt to our children’s individual needs has made such a positive difference for our whole family. The teachers consistently communicate with us, work alongside us as parents, and provide support whenever challenges arise. We especially appreciate the patience and care they show during difficult moments and the way they celebrate every achievement, no matter how small. It is clear that the team genuinely cares for the children and creates an environment where every child can thrive. We couldn’t recommend this daycare centre more highly and feel so thankful for the love and support they provide every single day.

We love Chasing Joy! Our little one is so happy there. We feel like the teachers have become part of our family and feel really blessed to have our child treated with such respect, kindness and love. The time and effort they put into activities on a daily basis for the kids is astounding and the fun days they plan just make life so exciting for the kids. The food is amazing, the facilities are great! We love you guys!!

Chasing Joy has been a fantastic daycare for our son. The teachers are like an extension of our family, Riley has always been so happy to attend and has built such lovely relationships with each of his teachers. The learning environments are rich and supportive, expanding on the interests of the child. I would recommend Chasing Joy to anyone considering daycare options.
